The imported vectors will always be read in at the size and scale they were created in their original design software. This opens the File Open dialog window and allows 2D DXF, EPS and AI and PDF files to be imported into the 2D View. Navigate to the required folder, enter a suitable name for the job and click the Save button. This option opens the File Save As dialog window and allows the job to be saved as a VCarve Desktop file. This option opens the File Open dialog window, allowing VCarve Desktop files (CRV) and importable 2D vector files to be selected and opened. The Modeling Resolution and default 3D shading color/material can also be set at this stage. The relative origins for X0, Y0 and Z0 are also specified at this point, and the measurement units can be set in either inches or metric. This option opens the Job Setup form (below), which is used to create a new blank job of the width (X), height (Y), and thickness (Z) required.
